Front End Web Developer
A Software Developer within my client is a technically able and highly productive practitioner capable of working in a range of activities from early analysis & design, through programming, integration and testing, to deployment activities and 3rd line support.
Responsibilities
Web Developer (Front end)
We expect you to have 5+ years of professional work experience in developing Rich Internet Applications using web standards.
• Excellent knowledge of UI development in web standards based technologies (mandatory): HTML, CSS and Javascript/AJAX.
Client Knowledge Areas:
• Excellent knowledge of CSS and HTML
• Excellent knowledge of the Javascript language and major frameworks
• Excellent knowledge of browser platforms and compatibility issues
• Experience working with HTML5 family technologies and techniques including CSS3 and SVG
• Experience with progressive enhancement techniques using JQuery
• Experience working with graphics and web authoring tools such as the Adobe CS suite
• Ability to work closely with graphics design professionals e.g. translate Photoshop mockups to web standards assets using modern web standards
• Experience in Java and GWT considered a bonus
Responsibilities:
• Work independently and with a team to create JavaScript and HTML/CSS prototypes and applications with a strong focus on maintainability, compatibility and performance
• Convert graphic design artifacts e.g. PSDs to modern HTML and CSS working iteratively with graphics and UX designers to implement web friendly interfaces
• Participate in requirements analysis activities, providing feedback on implementation feasibility and prototypes/mockups
• Work closely with designers, engineers and testers to contribute to the overall user experience
