Business Change Consultant

Environment
Part of the Business Change stream of a complex and extremely fast paced programme of work covering:

    • Customer Relationship Management – Salesforce.com
    • Sales Order Processing – possibly FinancialForce
    • Marketing Intelligence – likely SkyIQ
    • Subscription fulfillment – technology and service package to be defined
    • Space/floor-planning – solution to be defined

The programme is within a media company undergoing dramatic business transformation of processes, policies and culture. It covers all aspects of the business including: Advertising, Subscriptions, Events/Exhibitions.
The programme intends to dramatically simplify and streamline business processes with a basic implementation of the core Salesforce solution across the enterprise. It covers 3 key business groups with around 600 end users.

Role
Manage the business-side relationship of a 6 month rapid delivery of the Marketing through to Accounts Receivable platform. This role facilitates and aids the business in delivering their required outputs to match the technical delivery team such that the rollout is successful.
The three core deliverables are: Communications & Engagement, Preparation & Readiness and Benefits Realisation.
This will be achieved by facilitating the business teams and individuals using three core approaches: Coherence in disparate discussions, Continuity in the progression of required business outputs and generally ‘gelling’ the business teams and technical delivery resources.
The role will involve running facilitated sessions to help the business units think through their requirements and plans. It will involve ensuring advance preparation work is done within the business units, liaising with the programme team analysts to complete.
All aspects of ensuring the business teams are engaged, prepared and start to take benefit from the platform are the responsibility of the change consultant to facilitate.
Looking for strong hand-off skills but happy to get hands on when needed.

Skills and qualities
Exceptional levels of focus, agility, diplomacy and ability to manage people and problems.
Empirical understanding of technology and how it can fit with business processes- knowing what ‘should be possible’ even if only loosely familiar with the technology being used.
Natural talent at being the gel within a team of business staff to achieve the project objectives.
Implementation focused and highly experienced at project management.
Able to present professionally with strong confidence at all levels including CEO.
Highly proactive with colleagues and willing to flex within a team.
Articulate and succinct in verbal and written communication.
Ability to see the trends and themes within the business change such that potential problems can be identified and resolved early on.

This is NOT a project management role. Candidates should be well practiced change management consultants, not Project/Programme managers who believe they can adapt to the different role.

Previous experience
CRM and SOP implementations (ideally Salesforce.com).
Large data rationalization and migration projects.
Fast-pace programmes of business change.
Business process simplification.
